From farmhouse to refuge, then from inn to 4-star hotel, discover a long tradition of hospitality that has ensured the spirit of the mountains for almost 150 years.

At Chalet Mounier, the tradition of hospitality is as old as the establishment itself. As soon as you arrive, you'll feel a sense of well-being thanks to the chalet's meticulous décor, which combines exposed stonework, beautiful golden woodwork and warm colours.

A history dating back to 1879

From a farmhouse to a guesthouse and then a hotel, the Chalet Mounier is a true family business, having been owned by the Mounier family for five generations now.

From Pierre Balme, who set up a refuge with two bedrooms and a dining room in 1879, to Alban and Angélique today, Daniel, then Marie with her husband Hippolyte Mounier, and finally Robert with his wife Georgia, have all followed in their footsteps. Every member of the family has contributed to the building.

A haven of peace, our Cinq Mondes-accredited spa and its facilities - heated indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and steam room - are a haven in the mountains.
Where calm and serenity reign supreme, you can also extend your moment of well-being with a sports programme in our fitness room.
The wellness area is included for hotel guests and is available 1 hour and 15 minutes before each treatment for spa guests who are not staying at the hotel.
